Banh Khoai Mi Nuong is a gluten-free cake made from grated cassava, eggs, coconut milk and sugar.  Also, the cake tastes best when you add cooked mung bean and butter in the cake batter.

In Malaysia and Singapore, Kuih Bingka Ubi is cassava cake.

Cooking tips

  • For light cooking technique, butter is melted and glazed on the cake, instead of mixing it in the cake batter.
